Volkswagen Golf - Video tutorial
Model: Volkswagen Golf
5K1, MK 6, Golf 6, Golf VI
- Years 2008-2012 In this video, we see how to disable the ESP (traction control) even without the dedicated button. Even if your car has the button, it is useful to know how to do it if, for example, we have accidentally activated/deactivated it and don't know how to fix it. This is the procedure: turn on the ignition, turn on the hazard lights, and press the accelerator pedal fully five times. Now we can start the engine. We see that the tire pressure monitoring system and traction control are disabled. Turn off the hazard lights, and that's it. If we turn off the engine and then turn on the ignition again, we see that the lights that were on before are now off. We try the same procedure again, and it confirms that the ESP is deactivated. However, remember that the TPMS is also deactivated along with the ESP.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHandbrake adjustment on Ford EcosportFirst remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base. by ScegliAuto More videos
