How to Reset the Service Light on the Volkswagen New Beetle?

To reset the Service light on the Volkswagen New Beetle, press and hold the button located in the centre of the instrument panel while it is off. While continuing to hold the button, insert the key into the ignition and turn it to power on the panel: at this point, continue to hold the central button until the reset of the light is completed. After the reset, you can turn off the instrument panel by turning the key back in the ignition.
