How to Reset the Service Light on a Volkswagen New Beetle

To reset the service light on a Volkswagen New Beetle, ensure all required services have been completed for your safety and that of others. It is quite simple. Get in the vehicle, close all four doors, with the ignition off, press and hold the button in the centre of the dashboard, between the rev counter and the fuel gauge. While holding this button, turn on the ignition without starting the engine, then release the button. When the word "service" appears on the display, press and hold the button until the word "service" disappears. Turn off the ignition. Turn it back on to verify. The operation is complete.
