If adjusting the fan speed knob does not change the speed, the resistor controlling the fan speed is likely damaged. To replace this resistor, access the air duct located just behind the glove compartment. Unscrew the screws along the lower edge of the compartment to open the door and unscrew those along the upper closure line to completely remove it. Next, locate the resistor next to the fan, disconnect the power connector, and rotate the resistor to release and extract it.
