How to Dismantle the VW Polo Remote Key

Model: Volkswagen Polo Polo 5, Polo V, MK 5, MK V, 6R - Years 2009-2017

Dismantling the remote key is very similar for all models of the VAG group (Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Seat). Start by removing the emblem that displays the manufacturer's logo on the back shell of the remote. It is suggested to warm it slightly to loosen the adhesive and pry it off using a craft knife. At this point, access the screw that secures the two parts of the key. Unscrew it and pry to separate the remote part from the blade holder. Continue by separating the shells of the remote to access the battery compartment, then reverse the process for reassembly.
