To remove the engine from a Volkswagen Golf, open the bonnet to access the screws securing the bumper to its housing. The bumper must now be removed along with the lower engine protection panel. This will provide access to all supports: loosen the screws that secure the engine to these supports, then disconnect the connectors and hoses. Using a hoist, you can then remove the engine from its compartment.
