Removing the External Wing Mirror

Model: Volkswagen Jetta MK 5, A5 - Years 2005-2010

To remove the external wing mirror, first remove the door panel: unscrew the screws around the edge of the panel, then take off the handle cover and unscrew the screws underneath; use a plastic lever to disengage the clips and complete the panel removal by disconnecting the connectors and the lock cable; at this point, remove the plastic cover around the mirror and unscrew the fixing screws, then disconnect the adjustment system connector to remove it from the door.
