Removing External Rear-View Mirror

Model: Volkswagen Jetta MK 6, A6 - Years 2010-2018

To remove the external rear-view mirror, you must first remove the door panel; start by unclipping the electric window switch panel and disconnecting the connector; also unclip the trim on the panel just behind the opening handle and then the plastic cover just below the armrest handle; at this point, you can unscrew the fixing screws of the panel and unclip the pressure clips along the edges to remove the panel itself, disconnecting both the connectors and the lock cable; finally, disconnect the adjustment system connector, remove the plastic cover applied directly at the rear-view mirror location, and unscrew the fixing screw to complete the removal; during reassembly, it is recommended to remove the rubber grommet from the plastic cover and insert it into the respective hole in the body.
