Where is the engine control unit located in the Volkswagen Polo?

In this video, you can see where the engine control unit is located in the Volkswagen Polo, useful if you need to replace it due to a fault. As shown, the control unit is positioned inside the engine bay, specifically on the left side of the rear wall, to your right when looking at the vehicle from the front. Before removing the control unit, ensure that the key is not inserted, then undo the single lower bolt and disconnect the connectors on the right side. To fit the replacement, simply follow the reverse procedure.
