Replacing the Front Headlamp Bulb

Model: Volkswagen Jetta MK 5, A5 - Years 2005-2010

To replace the bulb of the left front headlamp (driver's side), there is not much room to manoeuvre as the engine air filter housing is located behind the headlamp; however, you can proceed without dismantling anything. First, release the plastic cap protecting the bulb holder by turning it anti-clockwise, and similarly detach the bulb holder from which you will extract the old bulb to insert the new one. Then reattach both the bulb holder and the corresponding cap. The other protective cap is a rubber grommet, which can be removed by simply pulling it off. Next, release the bulb retaining spring to extract the bulb from its housing for replacement.
