Airbag Warning Light Reset Instructions

Model: Volkswagen Jetta MK 5, A5 - Years 2005-2010

If the red airbag warning light remains illuminated on the instrument cluster display, you must carry out a fault memory check in the relevant control unit using a diagnostic tool; once the tool's interface is connected to the vehicle's OBD diagnostic socket, select the make, model, and the control unit you wish to diagnose; by reading the error codes, a power supply issue and a problem with the passenger side collision sensor will be detected; proceed to clear the fault memory and then check after turning off and back on the ignition that the warning light remains off.
