How to Remove the Airbag from its Housing

Model: Volkswagen Jetta MK 6, A6 - Years 2010-2018

First, it is necessary to disconnect the battery at least 60 minutes before starting the work. After removing the dashboard, behind the steering wheel, there is a small slot containing a small lever. Use a screwdriver to lower the lever while simultaneously pulling firmly outwards on the airbag housing. Once extracted, disconnect the power by acting on the clip of the connector (press the clip and pull the connector) and detach the air connector (press the clip upwards and the connector will detach).
The maintenance operation shown in the images is performed on a Volkswagen Jetta.
