How to deactivate the Start&Stop system on the Volkswagen Golf?

To deactivate the Start&Stop system on the Volkswagen Golf, turn on the instrument cluster by rotating the key in the ignition switch. Once the instrument cluster is on, navigate through the menu on the central display. Select "Vehicle" and then "Status"; you will see the "Start&Stop" option. Press it to deactivate the system, which will change the button colour. To reactivate it, simply press the button again.
