Removal of the fuel cap of the Volkswagen Polo

If the fuel cap maintains a proper seal, it should be replaced with a new unit that includes the rubber cover and flap. To do this, open the flap and use an Allen key to unscrew the screw on the left near the spring pin, unscrew the cap, and with your hands, apply pressure on the left side to detach the rubber frame. Once detached, free the rubber cover from the neck by turning it left again to remove the entire assembly, including the drain tube. Install the new unit: first, insert the tube, then starting from the right, fit it into its seat, ensure the rubber adheres to the neck, and finally tighten the locking screw.
