To remove the front headlight from a Volkswagen Golf 5, open the bonnet to access the screws that secure the front bumper from the top: once these are loosened, proceed to loosen the screws that secure the bumper from the bottom and those that secure it from inside the wheel arches of the front wheels. Once all these screws are removed, you can detach the bumper and proceed to unscrew the screws that secure the headlight, which will now be accessible: this will allow you to extract the headlight unit from its housing, replacing it with a new spare part.
