How to Remove the External Rear-View Mirror of the Volkswagen New Beetle

To remove the external rear-view mirror of the New Beetle, start by taking off the door trim panel. Remove the handle cover to access the fastening screws. Once the panel is removed, disconnect the power connector for the electric mirror adjustment. Then, remove the screws securing the mirror to the door pillar. Next, you need to remove the window regulator motor to fully lower the window and extract the weatherstrip to access the other screws securing the mirror. Finally, detach the grommet and complete the removal by unscrewing the screw between the pillar and the mirror itself.
