In this tutorial, you will learn how to remove the centre console in a Volkswagen Golf, a very simple operation. First, ensure that the key is not inserted.

Then, position yourself on the rear seat and, using a plastic trim tool, disengage the air vents. Next, disconnect the air duct, move to the front seats, and remove the side panels of the tunnel, the frame of the climate control console, and the panel located beneath it. At this point, simply separate both the base of the gear lever gaiter and that of the handbrake, unscrew the two indicated bolts, and remove the console from the floor pan.
