To open the fuel cap on a Volkswagen Golf, first ensure that the car doors are unlocked using the key or remote. Once unlocked, head to the fuel flap located on the side of the vehicle.

Gently press on the front edge of the flap to unlock and open it. With the fuel flap open, turn the fuel cap counter-clockwise to unscrew it. After refuelling, screw the fuel cap back on clockwise until you hear a click, indicating that it is securely closed.

Finally, close the fuel flap by pressing it gently until you hear it click into place.

This ensures that the flap is properly closed and secure.
