How to Change the Engine Oil on a Volvo V50

Today, we will see how to change the oil filter and engine oil on a Volvo V50. Before starting, open the bonnet to unscrew the oil filler cap to facilitate the oil draining. Next, unscrew the nut to remove the oil filter cap using a 36 mm spanner, extract the filter, and clean the housing.

Then, remove the sump plug to let all the oil drain into a container. After cleaning the reservoir, insert the new filter into its housing and replace the sump plug.

Finally, pour the new oil into the reservoir.
