How to Reset the Service Light on a Volvo S40

Let's see how to reset the service light on a Volvo S40: insert the key into the ignition and hold down the trip button (the one that resets the trip meter and is located on the dashboard), then turn on the ignition. Continue to hold the button until you see the service light start to flash (this takes about 10 to 15 seconds). Release the trip button while the light is still flashing and wait a few seconds until the light goes out (or shows the next due date). If it does not work, repeat the procedure from the beginning, ensuring you hold down the trip button before turning the key to the 'on' position.
