If you have just completed the regular service on your Volvo S40 second series (year 2004-2012), but notice that the warning light continues to stay on the dashboard, you need to follow the procedure below to reset it manually. First, get into the driver's seat and ensure the vehicle is off, then press and hold the button located beneath the speedometer and turn on the ignition.

Wait a few seconds, and as soon as the display stops flashing, release the button to complete the reset of the light.
