Antifreeze Replacement

Model: Volvo S40 MK 1 - Years 1995-2004

Carry out this maintenance with the engine cold to avoid unpleasant burns. Open the cap of the coolant reservoir; remove the splash guard and unscrew the drain plug of the coolant from the radiator, collecting it in a container. Once the draining is complete, screw the plug back in. Then fill the system through the reservoir with the appropriate antifreeze (pay attention to the dilution ratio) and check that no air has accumulated in the system (just check the softness of the hoses); close the cap, start the engine, and after a while, check the level. Finally, reattach the splash guard.
