Replacing the Cabin Light Bulb

Model: Volvo S40 MK 1 - Years 1995-2004

To replace the bulb in the cabin light, you only need to remove the transparent outer cover: simply lever it off sideways with a small flat screwdriver. Once the cover is removed, pull the old bulb outwards (T5 base); then insert the new bulb, ensuring it works correctly to rule out other issues with the system (such as blown fuses or oxidised electrical contacts), and reapply the cover, ensuring it is correctly seated as it also acts as a switch for turning the light on and off.
