Shifter Knob Replacement

Model: Volvo Xc90 MK 1 - Years 2002-2014

Start the engine and place the shifter in the Neutral position; detach the trim located just below the shifter along the center console; remove the leather boot from the shifter knob and firmly grasp the knob, pulling it upward to detach it from the shifter: the knob will come off with the linkage rod (the rod moves up and down by pressing the button on the knob).
Check the proper movement of the rod and the operation of the button: if the mechanism is broken, you will need to replace the knob-rod kit, which is available as a replacement part. Reposition the retaining ring of the leather boot under the new knob and insert it into the shifter, securing the leather boot.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
