Volvo Xc90 - Video tutorial

Model: Volvo Xc90 MK 1 - Years 2002-2014
Part: Gearshift gaiter
Operation: Gear lever knob replacement

Start the engine and place the gear lever in neutral (Neutral); unclip the frame immediately below the gear lever, along the central tunnel; remove the leather boot from the gear lever knob and grabbing it firmly, pull it upwards to disassemble it from the gear lever: the knob complete with transmission rod will come off (the rod moves up and down by pressing the button on the knob). Check the correct sliding of the rod and of the control ratchet using the button: the breakage of the mechanism requires the replacement of the knob-rod kit which can however be purchased as a spare. Reposition the fixing ring of the leather boot under the new knob and insert it inside the gear lever securing the leather boot.

How to activate the cruise control of the Nissan Qashqai

Let's see how the cruise control is activated on the Nissan Qashqai: you have to activate it by putting the cruise control switch to "on", then, using only the right spoke of the steering wheel, press the "set-" button, then the "res +" button also on the right spoke of the steering wheel and the cruise control indicator lights up on the car's instrument panel display. If the brake pedal is pressed while the cruise control is in operation or if the "cancel" button on the right spoke of the steering wheel is pressed, the cruise control will automatically deactivate and the cruise control indicator on the instrument panel will go out.
