Accessing the manual emergency key from the remote of a Volvo XC60 is much more difficult than on many other car models, where you simply press a side button that is not present here. Therefore, when the battery of the remote is dead and you cannot press the buttons, you must resort to this well-hidden key. So, how do you do it? The answer is quite simple: you need to pry (if you can do it by hand, otherwise use a small flathead screwdriver) in the slot of the remote where the keychain is located, as shown in the video. This way, the housing will split in two, and you will find the key.
