If one of the devices in your Volvo V40 has suddenly stopped working, the first thing to do is check the status of the respective fuses, the diagrams for which are shown in this video. As shown, the first box is located inside the engine compartment, protected by the black plastic cover near the battery.

The second and third boxes are found inside the cabin, one beneath the glove compartment and the other beneath the seat, both on the passenger side. Ensure you replace any blown fuses with spares of equivalent specifications.
