To replace the remote battery in the Volvo V40, you need to slide the key out from the top of the device: once it has been removed, you can leverage inside its housing to separate the two halves of the remote. The battery inside can now be extracted from its seat, so it can be replaced with a new spare part; after the replacement, you can close the remote again.

At this point, you can use the buttons to check that the device works correctly.
