Removing Car Radio for iPod Kit Installation

Model: Volvo Xc90 MK 1 - Years 2002-2014

Using a plastic tool to avoid damaging the body, pry at the base of the tunnel around the shifter to release the plastic clips and move it aside to access the screws holding the radio console. Remove the entire console and disconnect the necessary electrical wiring connectors to install the kit.
Prepare the two cables included with the iPod kit and insert them into the original connectors, connecting the other end to the kit's control unit. The control unit should be connected in series to the power cable at the audio aux input. Program the kit box according to the instructions included with the kit and secure it inside the dashboard by removing the plastic cover on the passenger side. The second box with connectors should be mounted in an accessible location under the dashboard using the provided screws. Reinstall the cover, routing the cables through the radio tunnel. Reinstall the radio by reversing the previous steps.
