How to Change Engine Oil on Alfa 159

Model: Alfa Romeo 159 MK 1 - Years 2005-2011

Carry out the service on the car at the mileage specified by the manufacturer, changing the oil and filter on a 159. Lift the car on a jack and unscrew the bolt of the oil sump; allow the fluid to drain into a container. Open the car door and pull up the lever to open the engine compartment, securing it after lifting. Using a socket wrench, unscrew the large securing bolt of the container cap where the oil filter is located. Remove the worn oil filter and position a new one. Fill the engine with the new oil (use a funnel for topping up).
