How to Replace the Light Switch on an Alfa Romeo 156?

To replace the light switch on an Alfa Romeo 156, first disconnect the battery; then, loosen the screws located at the back of the steering wheel, on both the right and left sides, to remove the airbag. Once it is disconnected from its connector, it can be removed. After removing the nut that secures the steering wheel to the column, it can be taken off; now you can remove the plastic covers around the light switch by unscrewing the appropriate screws located at the bottom of the column. At this point, all screws securing the light switch can be loosened, allowing you to remove the old light switch and replace it with new parts.
