In this tutorial, we will see how to change the transmission oil in an Alfa Romeo 156, a very simple operation to perform after approximately 93,205 miles. First, ensure the vehicle is turned off, then go underneath it, locate the drain plug, and unscrew it with a hex key. Allow all the oil in the transmission to drain out, reinsert the plug, and repeat the process for the second indicated hole.

Next, locate the fill hole, insert a long tube, and add the required amount of oil.

Next, locate the release lever on the underside of the rear seat, near the floor. Press this lever down while pulling the seat upwards to unlock it from the anchor pins.
