In this article, we will see how to disassemble the steering wheel of the BMW 3 Series E90, in order to replace it. To carry out this operation, a 16 millimeter socket wrench and a flathead screwdriver will be necessary. The first step is to disconnect the battery to prevent the airbag from accidentally activating. Then, insert the screwdriver into the appropriate slot as shown in the video to disconnect the airbag. Once removed, the connector must be removed. After removing the airbag, remove the metal clip with the screwdriver, and then remove the steering wheel fixing bolt using the socket wrench to remove the steering wheel.
