How to change the battery and the shell of the BMW 3 Series and 5 Series

In this video, we will see how to change the battery and the key shell on the BMW Series 3 and Series 5: we remove the emergency key from the shell we want to change, then with a cutter we cut the outer side of the shell, because often the sides are glued, then with a flat screwdriver, we need to separate the two parts of the key: we remove the electronic part. Keyless keys have a CR2032 battery, while normal keys have a VL2020 battery. Having the new shell - which we may have found, for example, on eBay with the code 281676034337 at the price of 11.49 euros, free delivery - we position the electronic part, then we put the battery in place and finally we put back the emergency key.
