How to Remove and Replace the Water Pump on a BMW 3 Series

Let's see how to remove and replace the water pump on a BMW 3 Series. Lift the car on a column lift and remove the undercarriage cover (if necessary), then disconnect the hose connected to the radiator with pliers. Use a wrench to loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off. With a socket wrench, remove the tensioner pulley bolt, and take out the water pump as shown in the video. Install the new water pump, the tensioner, and the belt, tightening everything with the socket wrench. Finally, install the undercarriage cover bolts and reattach the wheel with the tire to the vehicle.
