Replacing the Steering Angle Sensor on a BMW 3 Series

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006

This guide will show you how to remove and replace the steering angle sensor on a BMW 3 Series. First, get inside the vehicle and start by removing the steering wheel and its airbag. To do this, press on the rear holes to release the airbag (disconnecting the electrical connector), then unscrew the central screw of the steering wheel. Once the steering wheel is removed, you can take out the steering angle sensor by disconnecting the wiring. Replace it with the new original one, then reassemble the steering wheel and the airbag!
