In the event of extremely cold temperatures, it is advisable to add antifreeze liquid to the radiator in order to avoid engine breakdown. Mark the original position of the expansion tank cap with a felt-tip pen and then remove it. With a screwdriver open the vent valve located on the left side of the inlet of the tank. To open it, simply turn the screw until it is removed. Add antifreeze liquid until it reaches the vent valve. Close the valve and replace the cap on the expansion tank until the reference marks made previously match up. Start the engine and let it run until the thermostatic valve opens. When the engine is hot, open the vent valve slightly to eliminate any air bubbles and keep it open until the antifreeze liquid, recognizable by the blue color, comes out. Close the valve immediately afterwards.
