To check the coolant temperature on your BMW 3 Series, you need to open the internal menu. Start by sitting in the driver's seat and then start the engine.

At this point, press and hold the left button on the instrument panel until "01.00" appears on the multifunction display. Next, using the previously mentioned button, select "19.00" and hold it again.

This will display "LOCK: OFF" on the screen, and you need to select "ON". Once you select "ON", highlight "CODE: 30" and then go back. After completing this step, return to "07.00", and you will reach the screen displaying the coolant temperature.
