Fuel Pump Replacement on BMW 1 Series

Model: BMW Serie 3 E91, E90, E92 - Years 2005-2013

First, remove the rear seats, then detach the carpet on the right side of the vehicle: underneath it is the fuel pump. Once done, loosen the four 10 mm nuts that hold the pump cover. Lift the cover and move it enough to disconnect the two connectors underneath. Disconnect the pump hoses and remove the last cover: if you don't have the proper tool, use a large punch and a rubber mallet, striking the seams of the cover and unscrewing it this way. Extract the pump, disconnect it from any underlying circuits, and replace it.
