Replacing the cabin air filter on a BMW 3 Series E46 is really simple, and today you will learn how to do it. The first thing to know is that on this model, you access the cabin air filter from the hood, not from inside the cabin. So, lift the hood and use the prop rod to support it. Behind the engine compartment, you will notice a horizontal compartment near the windshield: this is the cabin air filter box. To open it, simply rotate the three pins on the cover and remove it. Replace the filter and close the box. Nothing could be easier!
