Disassembly and Cleaning of the Intake Manifold

This operation requires precision and attention to detail since there are many components to remove before accessing the intake manifold. Start by removing the plastic cover on top of the engine; then proceed to disassemble the cabin filter cover located just below the windshield, in the center position; next, remove the cabin filter and its housing; disconnect the grommet and other plastic supports to reach the removal of the intake manifold cover. Disconnect the gasket and the fasteners of the intermediate cover, where the oil dipstick is also attached. Disconnect the connectors linked to the injectors and remove the EGR valve. At this point, proceed to remove the fastening pins of the manifold and take it off, being careful with the gaskets and the connector linked to the sensor. Protect the intake ports on the engine with paper to prevent foreign objects from entering. Remove the vacuum actuator from the manifold and the linkage arm. Clean the manifold thoroughly with diesel fuel and reassemble everything, replacing the gaskets.
