This is an operation that requires a lot of precision and meticulousness since there are many elements to be disassembled before reaching the intake manifold. Start by removing the plastic cover on top of the engine; continue with the removal of the cabin filter cover which is located immediately below the windscreen, in the central position; then remove the cabin filter and its container; unhook the cable guide and the other plastic supports until removing the cover of the intake manifold. Unhook the gasket and the retaining clips of the intermediate lining, where the oil rod is also hooked. Unhook the sockets connected to the injectors and remove the EGR valve. Proceed at this point to disassemble the collector fixing pins and remove it, paying attention to the gaskets and the socket connected to the sensor. Protect the intake ports on the engine with paper to prevent the infiltration of foreign bodies. Remove the vacuum actuator from the manifold and the drive arm. Carefully clean the manifold with diesel fuel and reassemble everything by replacing the gaskets.

How do I unlock the automatic transmission of the BMW 3 Series?

In order to unlock the automatic transmission of the BMW 3 Series, the Start / Stop button and the lever release button must be pressed at the same time. This procedure will allow the car gearbox to be unlocked for about 15 minutes, so that in the event of an engine failure, the car can still be moved. It may be necessary to repeat the operation more than once for its success. After unlocking the gearbox, it can return to its original state by simply waiting for the aforementioned 15 minutes, or by pushing the release lever forward for a few seconds.
