How to Replace the EGR Valve on the BMW 3 Series?

To replace the EGR valve on the BMW 3 Series, open the hood to access the components located in the engine compartment: the EGR valve is located right behind the engine block, near the exhaust manifold. To remove it from its housing, disconnect the various hoses by loosening the corresponding bolts and then disconnect all related sensor connectors. Once the valve is freed, you can install the new one by connecting it properly and verifying that it functions.
