This guide provides instructions for removing and replacing the hood lock on a BMW 3 Series E90. To remove the lock, you need to take off the front bumper. Start by unscrewing all the mounting screws located on the top and remove the clips found under the bumper and on the sides of the wheel wells, also taking off the lower engine cover. Once the bumper is removed, take out the left headlight to access the lock; then unscrew its mounting screws and disconnect the cable to remove it and replace it with the new one!
