Removing the Door Lock on BMW E36

Do you want to remove the door lock from a BMW? Remove the cover panel to access the lock; here's how to do it. Remove the handle cover, then unscrew the screws with a screwdriver. Unscrew the remaining screws on the door panel and detach the retaining clips. Disconnect the connectors for the power window and speaker. Grasp the panel with your hands and pry it away from the door. Remove the adhesive covering on the door sheet metal and unscrew the door lock until it detaches from inside. Install a new lock with the associated electrical connector.
