Engine Oil and Filter Replacement

Model: BMW X5 E53 - Years 1999-2006

Once you lift the vehicle on a hydraulic lift, you can easily access the oil filter cartridge and the drain plug under the oil pan: position a container to collect the used oil and proceed by unscrewing the plastic cap of the cartridge and then the drain plug of the oil pan; after draining, reattach the oil pan plug and replace the filter cartridge and the o-ring seals that are always included in the kit (coat the seal with oil).
Then screw the filter cap back on without exceeding the torque specification. Finally, fill the engine with new oil.
