In this video, we will show you how to replace the rear brake pads on a BMW 1 Series 116d 5-door. Start by removing the rear wheels as shown in the video. After that, disconnect the line that supplies brake fluid to the discs. At this point, begin to remove the bracket that holds the pads against the disc. Once this is done, slide out the pads and clean the two brackets where the pads rest. Lubricate them to make it easier to fit the new ones. Grease the edges of the new pads and place them in their housing. Finally, reassemble everything as shown in the video.
