Operation: Replacement of the front brake pads of the BMW 1 Series E87.

To replace the front brake pads of the BMW 1 Series, open the hood of the engine compartment, open the panel on the driver's side, and open the brake fluid reservoir. Lift the front of the car and place it on jack stands. Remove the wheel and turn the disc outwards, use a sturdy flathead screwdriver to retract the caliper piston by acting on the pad, lift and remove the metal spring of the caliper, remove the caps of the guide pins and unscrew them with a 7mm hex key. Rotate the caliper and remove the pads, secure the caliper to the suspension. Clean the surfaces with a brush, take the new pads and spread a thin layer of copper grease on the edges and insert them into the slots, reattach the caliper and tighten the guide pin bolts using a torque wrench at 30 Nm, replace the caps and the metal spring. Repeat the same operations on the other wheel, lower the car and close the brake fluid reservoir.

How to open the locked fuel filler flap of the Renault Clio
