This guide shows how to reset the brake pad replacement warning light on a BMW 1 Series E87. Perform this reset only after successfully replacing the brake pads. After turning on the ignition, press the "BC" button located on the left stalk of the steering wheel to display the temperature on the instrument cluster. Press and hold the button on the instrument cluster to enter the vehicle maintenance menu. Use the selector on the left stalk to scroll to the brake pad status tab. At this point, pressing the "BC" button allows you to select the reset setting; press the button again to complete the operation. Once finished, exit the menu by turning off the ignition.
