How do you reset the BMW 1 Series service warning light?

In order to reset the BMW 1 Series Service warning light, you need to insert the ignition key and press the appropriate button to start the car, so that the instrument panel lights up. Once the ignition has been switched on, it will be possible to press and hold the button to the left of the instrument panel until a car icon appears on the bridge: you will have to move around the menu with the button on the lever at the left of the steering wheel, until you find the oil icon. Pressing and holding the button on the end of the lever will reset the indicator light and reset the service interval.
