Replacing the Auxiliary Belt

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006

This car model has two auxiliary belts: one for the water pump and the other for the air conditioning compressor, alternator, and power steering pump. The belts are located at the front of the engine, and there is enough room to replace them. Before starting the removal, note the routing of the belts around the various pulleys. Then, loosen the tensioner to remove the old belts, compare the length and the number of grooves with the new ones, install the new belts on the pulleys, and finally, loosen the tensioner to allow for proper seating.
