How to Reset the Brake Pad Warning on the BMW X1

In this video, you will learn how to reset the brake pad warning on the BMW X1. In the tutorial, you can see how to replace the pads when the system alerts you that they are worn. Once the replacement is done, move to the cabin and turn on the instrument cluster. The brake warning light will still appear on the dashboard. Start pressing the BC button located on the lever to the left of the steering wheel until the time appears on the dashboard. At this point, press and hold the button to the left of the odometer that resets the miles. Eventually, a menu will appear indicating various functions of the car. Stop at the menu highlighted in red and press the button again until it asks 'Execute reset?' Press again to confirm and wait for the reset to complete.
